Situated at 5-11 Donaghmore Road, Dungannon, this unique pub is owned and run by the McAleer Family. Opened in 1979 it has undergone a few facelifts over the years. An extensive refurbishment took place in 2003 which catapulted McAleers from what was a small but well run business into the limelight and one of Mid Ulster's top night spots. However the most recent redevelopment project which took place in August 2010 enhanced its position further to one of NI’s most popular and cosmopolitan venues.
By almost trebling in size and combining its traditional character with a contemporary french nouveau theme its superb surroundings now provide five bars from which to serve our devoted customers. Each has been styled to it’s own unique theme, recreated with their own identity and character:
On a typical night you could expect to find the liveliest patrons in The Ivory Club strutting their stuff on the dancefloor. Venturing through to our St. Tropez Bar conversation is the focal point and friends old and new catch up over a beverage or two in fine surroundings.
Our Zanzibar Veranda Bar plays host to those patrons who enjoy their drinks and cocktails al fresco style from the Crystal Cocktail Bar. Then to the Sports Bar where old and young sip the finest pints and debate the latest sporting results and upcoming events.
McAleers prides itself on catering for all ages and tastes, serving all the premium brands at no extra cost and with no cover charge you can expect a great night's craic minus the price tag!
McAleers is a young, bright, trendy local bar and nightspot. It recently underwent massive refurbishment and as a result catapulted itself back to one of the areas top night spots. In tandem with this, during the day, it is a great venue to meet for a quiet drink or watch the match.
